Prof. El Habib Benlahmar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences Ben M'Sik, Hassan II University Casablanca, where he has directed the Master's program in Data Science & Big Data since 2017. He heads the "Web Semantics and Knowledge Extraction" research team at the LTIM Laboratory, with expertise spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (including Arabic language processing), semantic web, and information retrieval. He holds a PhD (2007) from ENSIAS, Mohammed V University Rabat, was awarded the 2008 Best Thesis Award in Information and Communication Sciences, and has supervised nine doctoral theses.

Prof. Benlahmar's scholarly output encompasses over 70 international publications with more than 2,500 citations. His work on Arabic NLP and semantic knowledge extraction has contributed significantly to multilingual information systems research. He is an active member of the Moroccan research community in AI and data science, collaborating with national and international partners on applied intelligent systems projects.
